Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information CareerKit ("we", "us"), operated by [Your legal name or registered business name], collects when you use careerkit.in, why we collect it and how we protect it.

What we collect

Your name, email address and mobile number when you place an order.
Your email address (and name, if you give it) when you ask for the free PDF.
Order details: what you bought, the amount paid and the date.
Technical data such as your IP address and browser type, which we use for security, fraud prevention and to limit abuse of downloads.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Razorpay's own privacy policy applies to the payment step.

How we use it

To deliver your ebooks and email you your download link.
To answer your questions and help with problems.
To send the free PDF you asked for, and occasionally tips or offers you can unsubscribe from.
To measure our advertising and improve the store (see cookies below).
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Cookies and advertising

We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to understand which ads lead to purchases. When you buy, a one-way encrypted (hashed) form of your email and phone number may be shared with Meta to match the purchase to an ad. Your cart is stored in your browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back.

Who we share it with

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

Razorpay, to process payments.
Supabase, which hosts our database and files.
Resend, which delivers our emails.
Meta, for advertising measurement as described above.
Authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed for your downloads and for at least the period required by Indian tax law. You can ask us to delete your free-PDF signup at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent for marketing emails, by writing to hello@careerkit.in. We reply within 30 days.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS, files are stored privately and are only available through short-lived links, and access to customer data is restricted to the systems that need it.
